Motion and phases of moon

The most convenient time for watching the moon is evening hours. Fortunately, evening Moon is high in the sky exactly in spring and at the beginning of summer and it facilitates work. The second factor is a place. If you decide to take up astronomy, you needn’t go outside - just open a small hinge window. However it is not right. Warm air will leave the room and this fact strongly distorts the image of the moon. Therefore, it is recommended to use a telescope or binoculars to follow the Moon movements. First of all you will see the great number of light and dark patches of different form, sizes and closeness. Give the eyes to get used a bit, look closely and touch up tuning of binoculars as good as possible. And you are going to distinguish the ring-like craters, creeks and more details. All of them as early as before last century were carefully inflicted on maps and got the own names. The first telescopes were yet very imperfect, and astronomers thought light patches on the surface of Selene (so Greeks named Moon) to be seas. And although soon became clear that the surface of Moon has nothing in common with the earth, changes in the opinions didn’t start a t once. As for the phase of the Moon, a question number one is connected with the fact what part of lunar disk is occupied by the lighted up surface. It became clear that lunar "seas" are smooth surfaces and there are almost no creeks and craters on them. And craters are practically everywhere on the areas of dry "spell". Hundreds of millions years back, the streams of volcanic magma inundated lunar lowlands. Almost even surfaces appeared there. It is confirmed by composition of geological breeds different areas consist of that. Almost every observer usually at once notices more light, than middle background, bright formations on a lunar disk. It is the radial system that is surrounding some craters.
